Welcome Serbia, Bosnia & Macedonia!

From now on Serbian, Bosnian and Macedonian citicens do not need visa for traveling to EC countries. I hope that all our Serbian friends will use this new freedom and visit Vienna! I am very happy, because I know, that many young Serbians have NEVER been outside their country. This day will bring Europe closer together.

Don't forget to go to Cesky Krumlov/Czech Rep.

Have you ever been to the Czech Republic? Make a try and go there, it is worth while. Taste the superb beer, the rich food (try powidltascherl, ducks and fried carp) and enjoy a marvellous landscape with lots of castles and the beautiful river moldau. If you need a hotel, I recommend Hotel Grand right in the middle of the old part of the town. If you like canoeing, you will love Cesky Krumlov, there are boats where ever you look...

All my support to the people of Iran. All my support to the brave journalists, human rights activists and artists who speak up up for their people even if this is a dangerous thing to do.
I spent a lot of time in twitter. One of the bravest was persian kiwi. He or she did not post for many days... We all hope he or she is still alive...

Waiting for spring to come...

This year we have the longest winter EVER. In the end of march we have just 6 or 7° and it is windy and very unfriendly in Vienna.

A perfect time to go to museum or an exhibition. My recommendation for all who visit Vienna in the next weeks: Maria Lassnig, MUMOK (Museumsqaurtier). An excellent show with painings and videos made by an extraordinary artist.
